I mean,
Seriously,
Is there really,
Truly,
Infinite Wealth,
I mean is that just a Concept,
That i am having a hard time grasping,
I mean,
Can wealth just go on until Infinity,
I mean
Seriously,
I've been struggling with that recently,
And i can't quite seem to get a grasp of it,
I mean,
If someone can cash in 2.4 Billion dollars of
Qualcomm CALLS,
1.7 Billion of
AOL CALLS,
1.9 Billion of
Yahoo CALLS,
All in one month,
I'm thinking,
Wow.
What am i missing,
Where did i miss the FREAKING BOAT,
What planet did i Drive up on,
And crash head first into,
Where is the Wave
to Crush my SKULL
What surf?
I mean
REALLY!!!
It's like
What would i do,
If i had 10K Qualcomm options,
Deep
Deep
Deep
In the money,
Coming due this month,
What in the heck,
Would i do with them,
I don't have the money to
Buy the stock,
What would i do with them,
If i had a thousand,
Yahoo options,
That were 300 points in the money,
What in the heck would i do with them,
Geeze,
I don't know,
I don't have the money to buy,
300 times 410 times whatever,
I mean really,
I don't have that kind of money,
Laying under my stinkin' mattress,
I don't even know how to begin,
To determine,
How many dollars it would take,
To exercise 2.4 billion dollars of qualcomm calls,
I mean really,
At the low end of the scale,
We have CMGI with only 441 Million dollars
Of CALLS,
Granted,
I'm sure a lot of it has been hedged,
But i'm sure some of it,
Is just itchy,
Itchy,
Itchy
Fingers,
To unload,
On top of somebody's head,
I don't know,
I just am blown away,
When i look at the numbers,
My mind flashes back to INTEL,
After it's HUGE Mammoth run,
And Tons of Long Term leaps,
Came due,
And what happened,
The stock fell out of bed on options week,
FLAT OUT FELL OUT OF bed,
And it wasn't funny,
And those dudes,
Who held those long term leaps,
Through thick and thin,
They flat out,
Had their long term,
Money,
Lunch,
And everything else,
Eaten,
And i really felt bad for them,
I honestly did,
And i think,
Karma is a difficult thing,
I think it plays itself out,
In ways,
That are not always great,
And i know this sounds kinda
Melancholy,
And i'm sorry for that,
But that's the way i feel,
God Bless.....

Buying options is the same as taking the cash purchase price of the option out of the account

Thank you for clarifying!
My point was that this applies to all kind of accounts (cash, margin, IRA).

Go over to our options thread, Cooters--the rules are changing for LEAPS, they now are marginable. Jill
