where were you when Franco ran in the Immaculate Reception?

I don't remember where but I was watching & jumping up & down! However, I think what you really want to know is whether I think that was a legal catch. First of all, back then we did not have the luxury of a half dozen different angles, slo-mo and I'm not sure instant replay was even around. I've never really seen anything definitive one way or another.

The rule at that time was that it would not be a legal catch if touched by more than 1 offensive player. I don't think there was any doubt that Franco caught the ball on the tip, but who tipped it, our guy (Swan or Stallworth - don't remember which) or Jack Tatum, the Oakland DB? I have to go with the official, i.e. it was probably just as legal as the catch by the Lion TE on the final drive in the Nebraska game in (and here's the hard part for me) 1982(?). <g>
