Diamond,

LU is a wake up call for all its investors. As a matter of fact, LU did give a guideline regarding its first quarter outlook (Dec. quarter) before sept quarter. LU has known that this is to come because they cooked the book and knew what time line was. They knew there is the end to that game and they knew when this problem is going to show up. This is all their plan. As an investor, we should always look into their book to find the sign of the problem. LU's cash flow is negative from quarter to quarter and they are heavily in debt. If you willing to award company with high multiple, you should know the consequences.

Intel, on the other hand, has a different problem which is the rate of growth. I own intel stock in my portfolio which is lagged last year. This quarter is very crucial since Intel has missed the expectation two quarter in a row. If Intel missed again, I have to exit no matter what the company say. I, however, still believe Intel will meet or beat the expectation in revenue, growth margin, and EPS this time.
