AM,

<< Hold, huh? While the stock dips 50%? >>

Been there done that.

Also held caught an added when it fell like a knife March 1997 and again October 1998.

Love them Gorillas (and CSCO's my favorite).

AM,

Speaking of CSCO in 1994, here are the % returns for some of the stocks we follow or talk about for that year. Not a stellar year for the techs altogether.

QCOM -9.4
CSCO 8.7
GMST 0
JDSU 61.2
MSFT 51.6
EMC 33.2
DELL 81.1
INTC 3.4
AOL 91.3
WIND 35.3

With the exception of EMC, Dell, and MSFT they all performed considerably better the following year. CSCO was up 112.5% in 1995. EMC was down 30% in 1995. Darned if I know what kind of collision they were in but I suspect they may have perpetrated an earnings surprise or 2.
