GO,

So you were the only one who bit on my thought. To continue, after reading article, why even go to the trouble of digging holes to lay new fiber in places like India and China for local service in remote areas if the bandwidth of wireless soars as the price comes down? Put up towers instead, cheaper isn't it?

Make sense? This may be a ways off, but could be much more cost effective that fiber to remote spaces...

I would say wireless is something the FCC might like because it challenges the ILEC's lock on local service and opens up competition with NO RED TAPE of fees, access charges, etc...
