Mark, I read a book sometime ago called "Escaping The Self" by a Dr. Roy Baumeister in which he told of a group of Psychologists who decided to do a study on the hookers in Washington. After some time they came to realize that the customers of the hooker were far more interesting and shifted their study to them, namely Politicians and Judges on all levels. Their requirements were mostly abusive. He further explained that Politicians get into this field as much for the abuse inflicted on them from (all sides)other Politicians, the media the public and when they don't get enough, they screw up so they really get dumped on. Clinton, Gary Hart, Nixon the Kennedy's and I'm sure you could name a few dozen I can't think of at the moment.
