Whoop de doo. That alone is surely worth a quarter billion.

More than unfortunate, I think it will be deadly to them in the long run. That's why I don't think AOL's not currently having a cable carriage deal isn't that big a problem. AOLTV will get more customers in the short term through DirecTV that SourceSuite will ever get through Insight, and that margin will only get wider as time passes.

the one cable co that did give their technology a chance [Insight], saw fit to later buy a piece of source as well as enter into a jv with them.

Well it was do that or see it go into liquidation. Me, I'd have done as TV Guide finally did and told SRCM to take a hike, but then I'm not running a company in the position of not being accountable to its own subscribers.

What I want to know from you is, having basically tossed everything remotely interesting that they had into the Insight JV, what in the world is SRCM going to use for any future deals, and without future deals, where will growth come from?
