Yes, that's exactly what they're for. It's so easy to get giddy about stock rises. It's important to look back at the price history and realize that it's done this before. Nearly every time a stock gets to a certain height above it's trendline if falls back.

That's the point when the cheerleading will be the loudest, and you'll be feeling your best about the stock. It's also not the time to buy more, and maybe the time to be selling, or selling CC's. (I'd also list buying puts, but not at these prices!)
