Ok, Say you sold the calls on the 3rd AND you think JDSU is an absolute LT hold, that is, you have decided you will be happy with its returns by just holding it, not trading it. But you think it has gotten ahead of itself, so you short some calls at say @ $14 (hypothetical #), then they drop just $2 to $12 or $4 to $10 (which was easily possible considering the stock fell from 189'sh to 150), BUY THEM BACK! It's only 2-4 points but it is icing on the cake because your original intent is to just buy and hold this thing... Follow me? The 2-4 points scalped is icing on the cake. MileHigh
