[On my Mobeo] Over the summer they will be adding real time stock news, and intraday charting all on it's little screen. Has the real time stock news been added?[yes] charting?[no] It also works as a standard 2-way alpha pager[yes] Can I send/receive email to/from any Internet source?[yes] ..real time news from sources other that mobeo? [no, whatever sources are subscribed thru Mobeo, other's would have to be sent by Email to your pager] How much email can it store before running low on memory?[donno, never tried] Would one large (10 page) email be a problem?[donno, never tried; better off with a Palm Pilot solution] Is there any way to download the email to a computer?[yes, simply forward it to yourself] If the pager is in quote mode will it notify you if email arrives?[yes] Are the quotes real time?[yes, poled not streaming] The manual indicates they may or not be depending on one's entitlements??[if you mean what exchanges/countries/financial instruments, then yes] Some brokerage firms (Fidelity...DLJdirect??) have options for trading with the RIM 950 pager (mobeo uses same pager). Could one use the same pager to trade?[yes] Would one have to load a second application? Does it have enough memory for two applications? [yes] I assume one would have to run one application at a time. ie get the quotes and then change applications?? [switch tasks, with no delay, however I would not recommend this product for frequent daytrading, just for monitoring and acting on your positions in emergencies.] [hope this helps; remember Mobeo is meant for ultimate portability and reception. I often attend meetings in buildings where my cellphone does not work, but my RIM Pager does. If you need a more complete feature set, then get a Palm7 and work from there, as RIM's are already pretty old technology and probably won't be developed much further in favor of the Palm platform, but then again, with a RIM you only rent the pager, you generally don't own it, also Mobeo has a 30-day free trial.]
