Nice summary, once you have built up a sizeable amount of capital one can trade calls for income. You keep asking when to buy them back? That's a personal decision based upon your goals and risk. I think trying to catch the bottom on short calls with a stock like JDSU is dangerous. But I do believe if you can watch the stock all the time money can be made shorting calls. They all bounce around regardless of how great the company is...

But that's just my opinion.
