Ed,

I wasn't expecting a 10% correction so soon. It was supposed to happen after I sold <gg>.

As I said in my post to Tom, I've been comparing this to last year's rally. In that case, MSFT didn't pull a 10% correction until it peaked at 175 in Feb. It was just a much stronger stock then. Of course, the NAZ didn't get pummelled as severely as last week either, so I'll wait to see what this week and INTC brings.

One other thing that's been bothering me is the way the stock has reacted to lots of positive coverage recently. It rallies, then is immed met with sellers. A stock in rally mode doesn't do that, even when it is just "correcting." Look how IBM reacted to positive coverage the same day Pru upgraded MSFT. IBM strong, softie weak.

AFA the DOJ thing, I also felt it was all factored in, but there is always a chance of any new (re surprise) developments, pos or neg. The way the stock's been acting, if there is any pending DOJ news, it's probably not a big time settlement.

BWDIK

Regards,

Chetman

Nasdaq +100 again, big INTC upgrade just prior earnings, and MSFT up only 3/4. Weak weak weak. This stock should be up 2 or 3 points easy.

There's still too much selling into strength, which is not indicative of a strong stock. If it's up less than a point on a day like today, what's it going to do when the NAZ is down? This continued underperformance has caused me to lighten up a little on the Jan calls.

And what's up with DELL today, down 2...possibly a connection?

Gotta get movin.
