I was there :-(, but I attribute the haircut to reasons other than the lack of a split, namely

Awareness that AOL hadn't developed a broadband solution.
The specter of free ISP services from Mr. Softee and others.
A general correction in the Inutz sector.

Rocketman-QCOM has to blow away the whisper # or there will be a selloff(unless there is additional news). I have faith in the good Doctor.
