I'm sure this has already been noted on the thread, but Go2Net has been picked as one of 10 stocks for the readers portfolio in The Seattle Times, Business section for the year 2000!! Readers submit their top ten stocks they think will outperform the market for the year. The Seattle Times takes the top ten and publishes them every Sunday in their newspaper. "the Web's #1 metasearch service". even if that is true, whats the big deal if nobody knows about it or uses it ? who is the competition for metasearch engines? go2net isnt even ranked in the top ten search sites according to media metrix.. if they have a stronghold on metasearch(dogpile, metacrawler) which is obviously better than single search, then why don't they advertise it ? it seems as if they have a competitive advantage over the competition, why isnt go2net using that to their advantage ?
