This platform is a central element of Vodafone AirTouch's strategy for mobile data and internet. This strategy builds on the extensive experience already in place within the Group and has been under development for some time. Vodafone AirTouch is now ready to announce its plans for the structure and operation of the global platform together with details of the other elements of its global strategy for mobile data and internet. All the offer documentation required by the German Takeover Code has been available since 23 December 1999. The Listing Particulars to register the New Vodafone AirTouch Shares to be issued upon completion of the offer have been available since 22 December 1999. The Listing Particulars have been recognised as a selling prospectus in Germany by the German Supervisory Authority for Securities Trading (Bundesaufsichtsamt fr den Wertpapierhandel). As planned, for convenience, the Listing Particulars will also be available in German from 11 January 2000. Following the presentation on Vodafone AirTouch's global strategy for mobile data and internet, a brochure summarising details of the strategy will also be available to Mannesmann shareholders. Steve
