<o.t> hi Jack - I can't speak for others, who are more knowledgeable than I am, here. Personally, I don't know [I would rather hide my ignorance, but you insist on someone to respond to you, so I oblige.] I suspect this is an easier question in the JDSU thread, since even if NT is a JDSU customer, it is at best a blind-men-trying-to-figure-out-an-elephant situation. Maybe it is easier to ask the elephant if it knows how many hands are touching it!

My guess is that JDSU, like VTSS and PMCS etc, has some specialties beyond the commodity market. Again, easier to ask the right question in the right thread.

best, Bosco

Jack, that is a good question. I did not see it posted before...I would have to sayu that JDSU does have specific components that are not developed by NT and LU. LU is JDSU's biggest customer (as of last fall) and biggest competitor. If LU could produce what they buy from JDSU (patents?), then I can only assume that they would. I am taking a guess here.
