Skeeter, mentioning the FDA and accountability in the same sentence is problematic. As far as I can tell, they're the Supreme Court for these things and there's really no recourse if they turn something down. Irrespective of why they might be doing it. However, ABC patient groups can be rather vocal and they've got more clout than a lot of groups do. If there's a drug that could help them, the FDA could easily end up facing a great deal of political pressure to move and move quickly. In this case, we don't have a problem with the FDA any longer though. The drug is approved and if the test results support it's usage, it will be used. We're really just waiting for the Fat Lady to take inhale and....
