Hi Mike

The 10-1 offer indicates a very weak hand.

A 3270 emulation and an X-term emulation are routine apps.
Tarantla offers nothing that a good search engine can't whip
up in no time. Plus, there are already a number of well
working solutions out there. So that's not where the game
is. It is on the Windows front, where SCO doesn't have
access to RDP. If it did, switching costs will be less than
thost going from Oracle to Informix, but more than those
incurred switching from HPUX to SunOS. Exactly where needs
more details.

SCO has reverse engineered RDP. With a twitch of an
eyebrow - a judiciously placed 'enhancement' is all
it would take to derail this engineering marvel.
This fear will weaken the switching threats tremendously.
Why, because at stake is the access itself.

Microsoft has enough legal troubles already; SCO has nothing
to lose. But I wonder how many potential customers will
buy it.

Citrix 10, SCO 1 (until I learn better :)

Dinesh
