Joan -- no offense at all. I'm just in the habit of putting in two cents when travel agents are seen as THE problem (some of them ARE awful, I admit). Without a doubt, free travel is best -- Aeroflot -- well, you can have my seat! Discount (charter) air is great for midgets and yutes. Eight to eleven hours in a Martinair or LTU seat has wrecked many a European trip for the normal-sized and elderly. We often make a better commission (sometimes MUCH) better off the super-cheap seat than a regular three-week advance purchase deal. Go figure. Sounds like both of us need a hot stock tip more than a travel tip. M
