The Lions had five possessions that lost yardage.

They began four possessions in Redskins territory, but didn't score on any of those possessions.

Detroit managed 258 yards of total offense against the league's No. 30 defense. But get this: 90 of those yards, and six of the Lions' 15 first downs came on the game's final drive, when everybody was backpedaling. And another 58 yards came on a Hail Mary pass on the final play of the first half from Detroit quarterback Gus Frerotte to Herman Moore. That leaves 110 yards of total offense.
