An unusual hybrid, to be sure, since the potential for real growth is extraordinarily rapid, a sort of super-tornado. But, I think this is also a domain in which one must also exercise particular caution since it is also a domain in which meteoric increases in stock price may have nothing to do with either revenue or profitability and increases in revenue may not be matched by profitability. The result can easily be a sort of blow up gorilla doll that suddenly goes poof when it hits a sharp nail! I think special caution is needed with these companies to insure that current market position is actually based on either some real discontinuous innovation or king-like behavior b>and that revenue and expenses actually relate to a sustainable business.
