There are going to be losers, and lots of them, for sure, eh. Razorbak just posted this article - msnbc.com ... people will see the author's name and say oh yeah typical for him, but he has a point imho, there is a lot of 'godawful garbage' getting produced. Just like in the 1920s when every third jerkoff with a blacksmith shop decided to manufacture cars, and most failed, even many with better cars than the survivors. But the GM and Ford and Chrysler came out of that shining ... even Studebaker survived until the 60s before the idea of making a superior car was finally discredited [sorry, little bias creeping in there -g-] .... Anyway, there will be big winners in this game ... can you concede that? Well i can. And i think cmgi stands an excellent chance of being one of them. One reason why - They bought Altavista, one of the very first sites i saw in my three short years on the internet, my first and still favourite search engine. They seem to be making it over into a portal fairly well, and i think it will be around and strong and making money when you and i are long gone. The other day somebody posted here an url to ragingbull via altavista, and suddenly the rb posts were legible like Classic SI, which would definitely give them an edge now that go2net seems determined to go the corporate suicide route and kill off Classic. Ok so that's just one personal thing, but it did impress. There is a lot more, a whole story of vision and astute dealing, the details of which i'm sure you know better than i. There may be a little air in the thing, but it's not all air at 3x NAV, and i wouldn't discount the availability of new pumps coming along if i was looking for a short pick. And it's a year early for the big kahuna imho - after the US election maybe, and the real change of millennium [there was no Year Zero] -g- .... cheers
