HK stocks seen rising on Nasdaq, AOL deal
HONG KONG, Jan 11 (Reuters) - Hong Kong tech and media stocks are expected to lead a rally on Tuesday after a strong Wall Street close and the announcement of a landmark U.S. media and Internet deal overnight.

But analysts said upside would be limited after an initial surge as interest rate concerns continued to cloud market sentiment.

''The market will definitely go higher on Wall Street and the big AOL media deal, but volatility will continue until the interest rate direction is set in the United States,'' said Jack Tsui, research analyst at China Everbright Research.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index (^HSI - news) added 442.52 points or 2.87 percent to end on Monday at 15,848.15, largely on short-covering and buying in a couple of heavyweight blue chips.
