Does ICGE owns FMKT? Not too happy with FMKT.

Is ICGE going to invest in EGLO? Chinese B2B portal news just came out and China lifting restrictions on E-Commerce. It should be a good investment.

tom, the way we look at it from a valuation/multiple perspective is that icge trades at 12 times the entire internet bubble...

in algabraeic form this is 12(blodgett+meeker+benjamin+CNBC)

smile...

This is misleading "ICGE is much worse because it's inflated twice over"

The valuation is based on successes like VERT -- already in
the price -- AND the great many private and not yet ipo's
that will be the VERTS of the future. The latter are valued
at something like their ipo price which for a successfull
btb co may be 1/100 of their price a year later. Only one in 10 of ICGE's
incubatorees have to do this well to explain the factor of ten.

OK the math here is crude but when I read the Barons article
I failed to see why his famous factor 1100 % was alarming.
Tom said he would rather just buy the ipos when they
happen and save that factor of 11 premium. Well a) he
cant get in on the ground floor and even the ipo's are
hard, usually oversubscribed so the best one can
do for a good ipo is a factor of 3 or 4 times the ipo.
My own datek account doesnt even recognise the new ticker
until about 2 hours into trading. b) you have to pick
the good ipos and I guess ICGE management out there
on the ground floor are more than three times as good as one
of us. These two factors 4 times 3, is 12 as required.
The part b) could be worth far more and probably is,
this is just to give a sense of perspective.

OK this is very rough. But for anyone who isnt expert
in BTB and watching closely the trends, and who cant
get in on private startups or ipos, ICGE is well or under priced
and investors have understood it.

Why 3 times CMGI? Its a matter of the breadth and flavour
of the IPOS CMGI bring out v ICGE. BTB v BTC. CMGI
at the moment does things like alta-vista. That can
change and so can the ratio.

FInally, read very carefully the companies filing
in a previous post about expecting a substantial
number of shares to be sold since these were purchased
at much below the current price. To my mind this is
somehting the lawyers put in as common sense, the way
it is phrased. It is not some special warning of any
particular knowledge that a particular large number of shares are
about to be sold. Its just covering themselves and adds nothing
to the assessment of the impact. Its like the 10-Q on
smaller companies that SI people sometimes dig put and
start panicking over. For Bary to dig this out and present
it as `sources close to the company' is really
misleading and scaremongering of the worst kind.

How the market reacts to this nonsense I dont know, but
I think Tom and coach in their revelry are picking up
on misleading points and felt I should correct it
(I dont usually post).

IMHO,

Shahn

OT P.S. Linda/Logan didnt you do all that hard work in
AMati some time back?
