What I believe I am trying to convey, when you take my position in aggregate, is that I do not see a knock out punch coming from AMD going forward, stipulating that my position on the MHz race to 1GHz specifically may be very close, but Intel may lose. It is too close for me to call right now, however, i.e., my position is that Cumine may either get there first, or essentially be even with Athlon, the latter being the most likely scenario, IMHO.

PB, I don't give a rat's ass re MHz....the question under discussion was actual availability of the 733 and 800's after they were announced as available. The truth is that they are available in very small quantities. When you are not defending Intel's technology and its position in the MHz race, you make claim that those speed grades were available in quantity at the time of their launch. It is this repeated position that looks foolish and flies in the face of the evidence.

As for the Athlon vs Cumine, most microprocessor engineers/technicians including Scumbria say that the Athlon has the superior architecture but that the Cumine has some nice features.....that's good enough for me. For obvious reasons this will be the first and last time I will discuss technology with you.

I become irritated when I say one thing and its interrupted to mean something else.....people who operate that way are usually game players. That's not my style. So please address the issues as I state them and not assume I mean something else.

Thanks.
