Goutama,

As you noted, the article said,

"AMD said Pionex Technologies, a closely held PC maker in Somerset, New Jersey, also agreed to use Athlon processors. Pionex plans to use Athlons in machines sold to corporations, a market that AMD has been trying to crack."

Here is their website, pionex.com

They are much bigger than I though and it is indeed a nice win for AMD, It seems that they are bigger than Micron! here is a bit from their site,

-----------------------------------------------
Pionex Technologies, Inc., has grown rapidly in the decade since its founding to become one of the East Coast's largest manufacturers of brand name computers. With a tremendous yearly growth rate, annual revenues are approaching $2 billion.

Headquartered in Somerset, NJ, Pionex has manufacturing, sales and distribution sites worldwide, including over 500,000 square feet of manufacturing facilities.

In order to quickly adopt, market and distribute emerging technologies, Pionex maintains long-standing relationships with industry leaders such as Intel, Novell and Microsoft as well as other top component and peripheral manufacturers. New components are tested by over 50 engineers in an in-house research and development center, which also serves as a beta site for the industry's newest products. Additionally, all products undergo the strictest quality control tests before shipping from ISO9002 certified facilities, and are tested and approved for Y2K compliance.

Available through both the retail and reseller channels, Pionex offers a wide line of systems for both the consumer and commercial markets including servers, network, desktops, multimedia systems and notebooks. Nationwide, over 600 stores and 2000 resellers carry Pionex computers. The Pionex Elite brand is available exclusively through VARs and distributors and is built to meet the needs of the corporate marketplace. Both lines offer extensive service and support programs to add exceptional value to their products.
-----------------------------------------------

This is indeed good news! :)
