There is going to be an explotion in the segment as a result of the AOL/TWX deal.

GE owner of NBC, etc, etc. Disney owner of ESPN, ABC, etc. News Corp owner of Fox News, Fox, etc etc. Eisner, and Murduch are awake and looking at the AOL deal with TWX. They need to respond.

Finally Microsoft they can't stand still. Before today with all the government stuff they could not buy a thing. Now they have the excuse needed: "we need to stay competitive."

Don't forget Yahoo. Yahoo can't sit back unless they want to lose their leadership position.

Finally open access is dead because AOL was the financial muscle behind it and its now openaccess is not in their interest.

It is going to be fun few weeks. Use any weekness today to load up.

PLAY BALL!!!!!!!

Funny - all of a sudden the XCIT merger looks like a pioneering move. Isn't AOL's Time warp a defensive, copycat transaction to get access to cable, Case's presumable public painting attempts notwithstanding? What about all the ELNKs of the world? Suddenly cable is hot, hot, hot. And ATHM is half full instead of half empty. What a difference a day makes.
