Today is the 10th year anniversary of the closing of the original Time Warner merger. Speaking of which, has it benefitted either company in any way?

Here we are, January 2000. Y2K fears were unfounded, the world is at peace (well, except for some silly people whose names we can't pronounce anyway), and we have all become rich investing is quality stocks like DELL, AMZN, and CMRC. And now, AOL and TWX are merging. Not to make the underwriters or executives rich, but to give the common people better streaming media. Yes, all of the news is good, and nothing could possibly go wrong.
