Hi Frank,

I think Gilder was caught unawares at just how popular his Forum would become. It's regarded by staff as a freebie, a perk and not really worthy of focus. Yet, as it turns out, it is the most valuable and lively asset that Gilder presents. Oh, OK, the chance to scalp a tout rates up there too. Anyway, I will be in the Bay Area next weekend for the NCGG, NoCal Gilder Gabfest. There will be about 30 people attending the affair and it should be a hoot. I've even got our inimitable P. Mudge to attend. It's an extraordinary collection of high IQs and high energies. I can't wait. BTW, there is a Gilder Group meeting on Manhattan at the Cedars of Lebanon on Tuesday evening (11th) starting at 6-7PM, on 38th, between 5th and 6th. You might enjoy joining with the group. And I'm sure they would be delighted to meet you! Let me know if you want more info about this.

Yes to the etymological assistant, no to the video conference. Heck, I'd have to shave. What we need to work on is the telepathy link, cut out all this old tired wired and RF stuff, go straight to branewaves.

Ciao, Ray

Hi Frank,

I'd be happy to host a voice chat room for your forum
(and others that are interested) at ( internetpartyline.com ).

At IPL we are able to host both PSTN voice conferences and web conferences and link the two together.

Best Wishes for 2000,

Jeff

Hi Frank:

First time one this board, getting a lot of information.

A site that may be of interest to you and other subscribers is

guru.net

You can downloand the beta program free. When you are unsure of the meaning of a word or acronym, you put your cursor on it and press the alt key, you will then receive what gurunet thinks is the most appropriate response. It is correct 85% or the time.

The only problem I have found is when an acronym is the same as a stock symbol, it will respond as if it were a stock symbol.

Try it, I think you'll like it.

Best,
Mark
