RESEARCH ALERT - LAM Research estimates raised
NEW YORK, Jan 10 (Reuters) - Warburg Dillon Read said analyst Byron Walker raised his earnings estimate for LAM Research Corp. (NasdaqNM:LRCX - news) to 81 cents from 70 cents per share for the second quarter ended Dec. 31, and to $3.00 from $2.89 for fiscal 2000, citing booming business within the semiconductor production equipment sector.

''LAMs December business will likely exceed previous expectations. Sales within the companys etch product line are healthy and its chemical mechanical polishing tool is gaining acceptance in all regions,'' the analyst explained, reiterating a strong buy rating.

Duker,

I am concerned enough to be raising some pretty sizeable slugs of cash

Lam is still only trading about 4 times this Q revenue run rate. Not lofty by any measure in this market. Once I see it trading at 10-14 I will most certainly consider giving a Lam enema, trademark Duker circa October 1998:-))

I still believe the orgyfest love-affair has only begun with these stocks.
