Stratton Sclavos, CEO of Verisign on CNBC interview today ( cnbc.com ) talked about how his company will be dramatically affected by the wireless revolution, given that there will be a billion or so devices out there. When asked if VRSN "had product to go into that space," he said that they "would be talking about that very shortly." Interviewer reacted like that was a hint of something to come and asked whether it would involve an acquisition or an in-house developed product. Sclavos said it was an in-house developed product. He then referred to security conference in Silicon Valley next week and that all the security vendors should be there and there will be a lot of talk about wireless.
