I regard these cable co's as utilities, and expect the Gov to continue to make them common carriers. I think the owners are now seeing the handwriting on the wall.

CREE in G&K terms:

It seems to me that CREE is sort-of like a small JDSU in its field, probably more like Uniphase was on its own. The company has patents and intellectual capital to produce its products, but it's unclear whether a true tornado will spawn, though earnings and revenues are increasing at a rapid rate so far. So does this make CREE at prince with potential to be a king?
