I too find it odd that Jim was not seen or recognized by anyone at the Rink. In normal circumstances, no one would probably recall BUT because of the circumstances, someone surely recalls seeing him there even if only from a distance.

Actually I'm surprised that a number of people didn't report seeing both of them--together and separately--all over the place that night, once news of the murder became known.
