Microprocessor vendor role reversal is nearly complete

According to JC's, jc-news.com :

Analyst Fahnestock had some strong words to say about the 800 situation: "Based on product availability, AMD 800MHz Athlon's may actually be ahead of Intel's Pentium III, despite Intel's earlier announcement ... Role Reversal: Microprocessor vendor role reversal is nearly complete, in our opinion: Intel's latest product announcement lacked the credibility of AMD's system availability, and AMD's performance may exceed that of Intel".

Chuck, if Intel's earnings are right on line (+0.63), I wouldn't expect a lift for the stock, but a retraction to the $70 area. After all, this is one of the most explosive quarters in semiconductor industry history, so if Intel just reaches consensus, what's the upside?
