I did a quick summary during interview for IDC chat room --

NOTE: I paraphrased this, and I may have missed some of the important parts -- so do
not flame...

here it is:

Bill compares them to QCOM (patents)
what do you think about price? (Bill)
Howard: talks about history in wireless technologies, CDMA, 3G, broadband
what patents do you own (Bill)
Howard: approx. 800 TDMA/CDMA patents...very broad and technical
Haoward: difficult to explain, will drive 3G technology
Bill: How many patents does Q have
Howard: don't know Q's numbers
Email Question: Does Q need any of IDC's patents?
Howard: We have said in press releases that our patents are essential in 3G tech (all 5
modes)
anyone practicing will have to deal with us!!!
will have to work out intellectual property liscenses
Bill: ERICY question
moving forward in trial (Howard) ..then gives background on ERICY litigation
last question: When 3G implemented?
RTQ: 60
Howard: Market applications start in Jpan in 2001 to 2002
Europe and Asia year or two later
Applications will be in 3G subscriber units
IDC will be participant on infrastructure side
LAST question (added one): Can you justify current valuation of stock?
Howard: argues that Q's patents are NOT more lucrative than IDC's!!!
