Dear Thomas: Regarding SUNW could it be its something like the AOL story? ie does anyone here believe that AOL is truly the best ISP? YET, they are so much more successful then the rest. I think one must look at the total package INCLUDING name recognition in their field, the fact that they invented the Dot.com subject and have been proven right, etc etc. JDN

I don't see Sun being the King of web servers. They are the market leader, but have on IPR to keep them there. They dominate the market because of their sales force and sales strategies. I compare them to Dell of 2 years ago. They are able to meet demand and find customers better then their competitors.

They are very vulnerable, imo.

There is a tornado, but I expect no Royalty to survive, other than Princes.
