ed, I don't think it's an either/or situation. I think both will be profitable because most of use both. I know that as you've pointed out in the past Asia particularly China may adopt wireless because the expense of laying fiber etc is too expensive. However, here, we have regular phones and cellphones. It's a both/and situation. I'm getting DSL any moment now, and the Bell Atlantic representative said they simply couldn't keep up with the demand. I personally think DSL will outperform cable as a modem, but wireless is in the beginning of a massive adoption phase.

Technical question - I wonder if the methods used to provide the speed of HDR could also be incorporated into wired environments? Isn't the speed of HDR better than DSL?
