I haven't heard that CNCX management is against this deal, I think the deal was solicited and accepted. I'm confused as to the meaning of your post....

Can anyone address the ramifications for the Preferred Shares Purchase Rights Plan adopted on December 3,1999 by the CNCX board?

The Rights contain provisions to protect shareholders in the event of an unsolicited takeover attempt through such methods that Nextlink just used.

This takeover was obviously not hostile. The two CEOs looked pretty chummy on CNBC this morning.
