Reach, backing, and revenues... What elements of those go into a valuation? Revenues perhaps, but standard valuation techniques don't apply to companies such as etys. What does matter is brand name, installed base of customers, and switching costs - all of which etys has tremendous momentum in. etys will be an online leader because they were the first mover into the space and know how to protect that advantage.
