Hi Jerry. Thinking of getting PLUGged!?!
The latest mania is fuel cell technology. It appears that the pure plays are PLUG & BLDP. The somewhat pure play is FCL. The related plays are MKTY & SATC.
The argument for fuel cells is that it is the next logical step in cleaner hydrocarbon evolution. Wood was the main fuel for mankind for centuries. Lots of carbon, not much hydrogen. The next step was coal. Much cleaner than wood because it was more hydrogen and less carbon. Oil was next and then natural gas. Each step cleaner because each step involved burning more hydrogen and less carbon. Fuel cells burn only the hydrogen portion of the fuel and recombine the carbon with oxygen to make CO2. Wind power, nuclear power and solar power are all nice tries but hydrocarbons always have and probably will always be our main source of energy.

Fuel cells will be the fuel source of the future IMO. The question is when is the best time to jump in to catch the wave. Stay tuned.
