You guys are better careful, when shorting. I agree that a lot of stocks are ridiculously overvalued but a bullmarket tends to move violently in its last stages. Tokio is up 3.5% as we speak. You may lose your shirt before the big one sets in.

I am eyeing Netoptix (OPTX) as a short, a third tier WDM filter manufacturer with a ridiculous valuation and most likely a fraud, but this thing moves up like a rocket.
I do not think the time to short has yet come.
IMHO

Mike:

Appears intel puts a tad early. They are marking up intel today on some news about a huge upgrade cycle in computers. (now thats funny, I havent seen any new applications which would require an upgrade).

Also, while i agree our economy is weak, (which makes the case for deflation) the fact that the FED has aligned itself with the stock market over the bond market means that rates will continue to rise. AG's policy of protecting the stock market from itself will eventually backfire, but in the meantime, bonds and bond funds will be crushed. I imagine that he knows this is a bubble but is unsure of what to do about it. He knows he doesnt want to pop it (ala 1989 japan, 1929 us). So given that his only recourse is to inflate the money supply to maintain it and try to slowly pair it back. In the meantime, bonds are going to be in the soup as everyone cant be a stock millionare even if it doesnt show up in "wage inflation."
