Dear Mr. Tutt:

Sure, let them buy, buy, buy ...

They earned it, didn't they? And they will keep their shares too!

Spread the wealth, and watch MSFT grow bigger and BIGGER and B I G G E R!

Charles,

"Do they now get to go back and buy at 15% off what it was selling at a few years ago when they should have been allowed to buy? How many shares would that be? "

If they do get to purchase at the old share price, the stock has split 8? times since 1987 so it is more like a 99% discount for some of them. In any event it would only be a one-time loss for MSFT, something they can absorb by issuing more stock. The beauty of it is that Bill G. probably sells MSFT the shares to cover this fiasco hence winning once by screwing the workers 10 years ago and twice when the company makes amends for it today. The guy never loses!

Cheers,

Norm
