It won't happen because ML is officially "Neutral" on DELL. So if they blow away earning ML will claim they had no position. If they come up short ML will say we unofficially warned about this problem. If they meet expectations then they will say nothing. :)

Hi!! RE: Kemble, one wonderful way to deal with wild analysts speculating on an earnings shortfall is to let them take their clients out of a stock then blow them away with great earnings. Let's have a moment of silence for the ML analyst if he is wrong. Some folks are plain stupid....They will return for another churn...2/3rds of the investment world won't even remember his name a year from now... Best, Kemble

Another would be to recommend the stock as great (read: strong) buy and when it blows up, ala LU, downgrade the next day, after it's down $20. It was strong buy @ $70 and neutral @ $50. No problem, I can live with this. What kills me is that these crackheads actually GET PAID for this?????? I have to say that it's getting frustrating! Zead
