Gentlemen- new to the board for I finally bit the bullet and paid for good dialog. Regarding exercising early - I just did that on some very deep ITM LEAPS. Did it for one reason only - to release the buying power. Also, I am keeping this one in the portfolio for long term growth. Which brings up another point about exercising them and not simply taking the profits. That buggaboo called taxes. I did some simple calculations and determined that even with the little dip last week I was still better off than if I had liquidated and paid taxes. Always a consideration. dave
