Hy Jy Cap'n:

Cash is OK too, Because MSFT can write it off and give 1099s to temps. Other wise, the shares-at-a-discount might involve some version of deferred compensation for the temps, taxable when they sell. These are complex tax issues, beyond my scope of practice.

Best,

Abbigail

Capt. Jack,

"My bet is they take CASH! No stock..."

Probably right on that since it may have been more than just stock options involved in their case. Whatever the cost, it doesn't affect revenues and once settled is one less source of rumor-mongering.

Cheers,

Norm
