Mr. Fun, thanks for your insight. My concern about your estimates is that unless LU nails the last 2 quarters of the year (assuming that they do in fact come in at the reduced estimates for Q2), hitting 1.45-1.5/share will be difficult. In that situation, do you really feel that LU will surpass its old highs?

Right now JDSU + ETEK market cap about 83BB--almost precisely half of LU's...I am wondering to what extent the JDSU-led consolidation of the FO-components sector may put system makers like LU "over a barrel"; relative valuations based on the metric of your choice (runrate PE, PS, etc.) would imply this is the market's thinking. On the one hand, optical systems sales are "constrained" due to supply problems; OTOH, suppliers are "consolidating". What is LU's (and NT's) recourse, if any?
