ITanium is very close to Intel's core business. re: "Niles the squirrely one" There was a sense of desperation in his upgrade. I know the analysts live by different rules, but to be negative on a stock until four days before earnings, and then upgrade, seems that the EXPERT analyst doesn't have a very good handle on the narrow category he is covering. Paul E beat him to it, saying he was POSITIVE that Intel would make their number, and he said it LAST WEEK. I know Paul hates the word, but maybe he could WORK as an semiconductor analyst? On second thought, no, could you imagine the people he would REALLY p*ss off? John [EDIT] Burt, sorry for repeating your sentiment that late is only slightly better than never.
