Little Puff Piece

My sentiments prexactly. That so-called article was just a sickening piece of paid puffery. All this talk about Corel misses the point that they just slapped a stripped down version of somebody else's Linux on a CD-ROM and are trying to imply ownership. There's trouble, though, because visiting the local software superstore revealed that racks of Corel Linux were moved to the back and replaced by another distribution (Linux Distribution de la Semaine) in attempt to see which one would sell. There are dozens of pay-ware releases now. What people don't understand is that Corel's (yeah, right) Linux is that if it doesn't work you're worse off than you were with a full-blown install. They will have you downloading and tar something.tgzing with blah-blah-blah-HOWTOs all day and all night. Near as I can tell, Corel is spending all of its effort pretending to have their own Linux distribution. How did they magically become a Linux support center? You are just paying somebody to regurgitate troubleinrivercity-HOWTOs.
