At 0057 GMT, Hitachi's shares were up 157 yen or 10.72 percent at 1,621 yen
Wonder if Hitachi's rise is attributed just to this news...a very big company, old-style conglomerate that makes everything from nuclear reactors to PC displays to ships (Hitachi Zosen)...hafta wonder how much a Q deal would add to their bottom line...but maybe they and other J. conglomerates could start spinning off divisions in fast-growing industries to garner share-price appreciation. Good news for the Q in any case to have more Japanese blue-chips come into the CDMA value chain.
