Les:

There is a great deal of evidence out there with respect to the Y2K inventory build-up and it was at its worst in the semi arena. Already, the prices are sliding as companies begin the painful process of washing all of this product out of the warehouses. Too bad the boys from Advanced did not give their reasons.

With PC revenues well down (y-o-y), with business buying almost non-existent, and with the retail sector active primarily at the bottom of the price spectrum, it is not going to be a banner year for semi sales. (g)

Best, Earlie
